After graduating from the Savannah College of Art Design in 1998, with a BFA in Illustration, Andrew Brown moved to Albuquerque, NM and co-founded KBGlassworks.
Andrew is well known for his innovative approach to contemporary flameworking. While combining classic cold working techniques with non-traditional flameworking, Andrew specializes in unique wearable art. Most recently he has begun a series of collectable marbles and paperweights - featuring electroforming and extensive cold working.
Along with being in many private collections and galleries, Andrew was the winner of the 2002 Alburquerque Flame Off in the bead category.
He currently resides in Alburquerque where he independently works to push and test the limits of what this medium has to offer. |
