Beca T Dunst grew up making art in Ferndale, PA. She studied for two years at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA before transferring to Delaware Valley College to study animal science. She currently teaches art in the Young Artists Program at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia and preparing for graduate studies in art education.
Beca’s painterly yet realistic style is influenced by nature and environmental issues. Animals and trees are found in many of her paintings and drawings, often telling a humorous or thought-provoking story. She draws primarily with ink and colored pencil or graphite and paints in watercolor or oil. Her illustrations offer a lighthearted glimpse of nature in a new light.
